Whether supporting one of our ReStore locations or joining us on a build site, your group will play a unique, impactful, hands-on role in helping local families secure safe, affordable housing.

From hands-on build experiences to meaningful on-site projects, we offer flexible Team Day options that help build stronger teams and stronger communities.

All experiences are guided by trained staff, require no prior experience, and are designed to deliver a full day of purpose-driven teamwork, connection, & impact.

Build Day Experience*

A Build Day gives your team the opportunity to roll up their sleeves and directly contribute to Habitat’s mission—helping families secure safe, decent, and affordable housing.

Build Days can take several forms, depending on project needs:

 

New Home Build

Be part of constructing a brand-new Habitat home. Tasks may include framing, painting, landscaping, or finish work, depending on the stage of the build.

 

Critical Home Repair

Support essential repairs that allow local homeowners to remain safe and independent in their homes. Activities may include accessibility upgrades, exterior repairs, painting, yard work, and more.

 

Buy‑Back Renovation

Help refresh and rehabilitate homes for a new habitat family. This may include interior repairs, clean-out and preparation, painting, and readying the space for a new Habitat family.


Ideal for teams who want:

  • Hands-on, construction-style experiences

  • Tangible results they can see and feel

  • A meaningful way to contribute to lasting community impact

  • Powerful sense of accomplishment

ReStore Team Day Experience

A ReStore Team Day brings your team together in a dynamic, hands-on environment while supporting Habitat’s social enterprise. Proceeds from ReStores directly fund homebuilding and housing programs—so every hour your team contributes helps create real, local impact.


Teams may assist with:

  • Merchandising and organizing donations

  • Customer service support

  • Warehouse tasks and product processing

  • DIY projects such as furniture cleaning, repair, or upcycling

  • A fun, fast-paced and interactive experience

  • A collaborative environment with a variety of tasks

  • A meaningful way to contribute to community impact

Salvage & Deconstruction Team Day*

We’re excited to introduce a new way for teams to get involved!
Our ReStore Team Day can now include a Salvage & Deconstruction experience (a unique, hands-on opportunity to support both sustainability and affordable housing).
 

This experience allows your team to carefully remove reusable materials from kitchens, offices, or buildings scheduled for renovation or demolition. These materials are then resold through the ReStore, with proceeds directly supporting Habitat’s mission.

Activities may include:

  • Kitchen cabinet removal

  • Light fixture and appliance salvage

  • Trim, door, and hardware recovery

  • On‑site material sorting and loading

​

Perfect for teams who want:

  • A high-energy, tool-focused experience

  • A build-like environment with tangible results

  • The added impact of waste reduction and support for affordable housing initiatives

Included in Every Sponsorship:

  • Choice of a Team Day experience that aligns with your team’s interests and goals (ReStore and Salvage/Deconstruction Team Days accommodate up to approximately 10 participants. Build Days can support larger groups—please connect with us for details.)

  • Online safety training for all participants, along with on-site orientation and all required personal protective equipment (PPE)*
